oh they have hammered it HARD for all kinds of problems, glitches, hangups... but the graphics are just incredible. It will come right in the end... either by being fixed after a multitude of patches... or someone else will come along and take all that it did and add more to it and we will be off and running again. I don't have enough machine to consider it... otherwise I would get it. Maybe next year, more machine and bigger monitor... sure would be fun.
**edit**
I just watched the video.... <snort> no way you are going to fly that 110 on one engine without feathering the prop. Sorry guys, WAY too much drag. I thought he shut down the engine, I was skipping through it... but thought I saw the mixture go back. If that engine is not running and at least producing zero thrust you would be hanging on Vmc and that is assuming you were light enough and the remaining engine strong enough to carry it.

He feathers it early, before he pulls the mixture back, but it windmills like it isn't...still has alot of glitching. I may pick it up if it goes down to 5bux, but since it's officially abandoned now...
It was always waiting for the Korea version anyway....

It is a total loss for those of us who bought it, but at least they patched it to a point of being able to fly with a decent frame rate.
They were going to release the tools for the modders to work with, but from what I've read they never got that far into development for the tools to be fashioned to be able to release them. I don't know what that means, when I worked on my bikes and cars I had to have the tools before I could work on them. Swapping out an intake or installing a shift kit won't work without tools. But, what do I know?
If 777 didn't take over the sequel from Ubisucks I would've left it alone. Now there's hope.

MiG Alley for me... was the worst disappointment of all time. The F-86 is a MAGNIFICENT airplane... it was the first fighter I ever learned about and all the pilots just loved it, a real pilot's airplane. I thought that would be a really kick-ass combination, a perfect storm for a flight sim, jets and guns (#6 No kill like a gun kill) and it was just bad, all bad... and no one has even sniffed in that direction since.

Have to agree with Ludwig on 110 prop feathering I lost engine in Beechcraft Baron once it is to say the least a hand full, when I was flying some years back was refueling at small field, watched another Baron take off lost engine on climb out pilot went into panic mode threw open remaining engine rotated plane over and into hillside. The aftermath wasn't prettty.I lost engine with a lot of height so had something to work with can't imagine the feeling of losing plane on takeoff.

Back in the old days we had charts for "windmilling engine" and they were down to within really tight tolerances of keeping the thing in the air... but that was back on the DC-3 and you had a lot of airplane to help keep control. I remember when ASA lost an EMB-120 back in 1990 or 1991 because a composite prop failed and one of the blades lodged in the wing... what a cruel twist of fate. It caused enough drag that they lost it and there were no survivors.
If you feather the prop, and it works...(they usually do) the blades go 90 degrees and it stops turning. The more it turns, the more drag you are dealing with and the worse it is. You want to be able to read that Hamilton Standard sticker on the blade and life will be much easier. You will feel the plane surge forward when the prop cleans up.

My dad flew B24 libarators in second war war remember him saying losing engine in one of those was handful and they had four engines. He called them flying boxcars. He flew out of North Africa and was involved in raid on Poleski oilfields.Out of his group only two planes made it back. They were in second wave the Germnas had hidden 88mm flak in haystacks so recon did not pick them up.He told me he saw what he thought were fires started by b24's only to realize they were b24's down. I guess I get my love of aviation from him he took me for first ride in super cub when I was eight I thought I HAD DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN.He passed away when I was 21 from cancer he was only 55

Now the meaning of "paper tiger" comes to light. Engine out performance looks good (or adequate) on paper. No so much in real life...
