Does anyone here have experience with a 'portable' fuel cell for AC power? I'm wondering about the power quality, specifically if it's clean enough for computer use. Apparently the underground cable into my house has failed (suspect recent digging across the street by the cable company) and I am going to be running on the just connected fuel cell power unit for up to ten days until the line is fixed. I don't want to risk my computer if they are not well regulated or are modified square wave power like run-of-the-mill inverters produce. Thanks.

The utility company owns it, they brought it over after they disconnected me from city power after determining there was a serious problem. Other than us telling them we had about 20 volts in the house and almost having a fire. It's a hydrogen gas powered fuel cell that is totally silent and makes water as exhaust. About the size of a small refrigerator and able to give plenty of 220 and 115. It's very impressive. I wasn't sure if it was true sinusoidal AC or modified square wave or some variant. Apparently it's quite good. It's very impressive.
