Hey all! Need some help developing a specific and determined training regimen. I am using Loop's enhanced Furball map, but find myself degenerating into the 'thrill of the hunt' a lot of times.
What I need is some definitive training methods-No promise I won't backslide into a "kill 'em all" mentality, but I have noticed some true weaknesses that I need help in training to overcome. First is manuevering- I routinely get someone on my 6 and can't shake them. Second is determining a flight path to attack the enemy-I always seem to try to wind up on their tail (about a 60 % success rate). I need some help in determining better ways to line up oblique and lateral shots...Would welcome any input and or coaching.

I find fighting AI is good practice for gunnery and situational awareness, but the things you're talking about improving really have to be practiced against humans to truly improve. At least that's been my experience.
Honestly, I think the best thing would be to just get in someone's ear when they are on TS and go fly together and get that constant real-time feedback. I know that's been tough to do as of late since a lot of us have been kind of sparse around these parts (myself included)... but I will definitely try to lookout for ya and give you someone to spar with or wing-up with on a server somewhere if you're interested.
Best of luck! S!
