Cross posted from our training room for benefit of anyone interested.
The date for this training is Jan 2nd 8pm CST. I think this will be a time when everyone would stand the best chance of getting here in the US area.
I will also have a Europe Class at 2pm CST (8pm CET) This will allow our friends from J5 and other Jasta squadrons to get a chance to train with us.
Feel free to join either one or both.
I would allow about two hours for this, depending on how many people show up. This will give ample time for each pilot to get all this information under their belt.
I have the manual for the Gotha at our DL section on the main front page. It follows the same steps and a few general guide lines for newer pilots.
Please before you get there have these following Keys mapped to your KB (or stick button)..
1. Switch to gunner positions
2. Zoom to gages (speed and altitude)
3. Bomb sight view
4. Drop single bomb
5. Drop all bombs
6. Level flight
7. Level flight turn left
8. Level fight turn right
9. View in cockpit that allows you to see the gunner in front of you and still see the airspeed Gage.
10. Stop/Start all engines together
11. Take control of gun
12. Hold gun to shoulder
13. Reload/unjam guns
14. Zoom on guns (usually the scroll wheel on the mouse)
15. Change to next position in the plane (pilot to nose to rear gunner)
This will greatly move things along at a better pace so we don't sit on the ground and wait for someone to re map all these settings.
I look forward to flying with all of you in this training and having some fun learning this plane.
