I've had this game about 2 years. I had another PC when I first bought it. It had a dedicated sound card and I don't remember the problem rearing its ugly head on that PC.
Now, for maybe nine months I've had this one, I built it w/out a sound card and this has happened before and is again happening now. The game sound is dying, last night it was practicly non-existant on my last sortie, after a map change on New Wings. But I don't think it has anything to do with that.
Ideas?

lots of us are having sound trouble on NW. I personally think it's their missions. Generally a game restart fixes it for me, but it's still a PIA.

Well, the sound came back, or was there from the gitgo on Saturday night. So I think VG probrably called it, Dudley and I were on NW. But just in case I'm going to go through the same problem here's my machine's info.
