Just some FYI type stuff. Not sure what everyone is running but.... I have a 460 EVGA Vid Card... One of the factory over clocked versions. 3.0 Quad Core on a sabertooth MB 6G Cosair Ram 36 Monitor I run at 1920 x 1080 I kept toying around with settings and after this patch I seem to have found a really nice sweet spot. I am not overclocked anything other than the overclock EVGA did and I am getting pretty much constant 60FPS even in most fights... at worse I had a few times it dropped into the low 50/hi 40s when a ton of planes were around. Here are my settings. Now if I drop down to a setting of 1600 x 900 it stays at 60 all the time. I have vsync checked so 60 is max for that setting but its constant. I have amazingly smooth edges, very good shadows and reflections. Hope this helps someone thats trying to get good FPS. Its crutial in Dogfights to keep good FPS going. FC

No extras in the ctrl panel are used. I turned it all to App controlled and inspector is off.
I ignored what they say for shadows and ran what gave me the best look.

No but the improvement for using a higher setting does very little for the look and hit the FPS pretty hard. By the tme I have the AA set to highest and the other stuff max'd out the filtering doesn't change alot of the the look but it does hit the frame rate as you go up. I am also noticing the server can affect the frame rates depening on how many skins are being allowed on the server. If you lock the load outs to only skins designed in the mission editor the amount of memory taken up by skins drops quite a bit. It also seems to help if the server is being rebooted on a regular basis to clear out all the crap windows builds up over time. What I was after in this was to be at a solid 60 FPS when I was flying around (v-sync on ) in most any condition. I could get on our server and have quite a few of us going and it stayed right around 60 all the time..... I went to the newbie and HQ servers and had results less that. So these are the setting I have been using to get me the trade off I am happy with on FPS vs Looks, After quite a few times of changing things this is wht whated best overall for me and it actually gets me a great looking graphics setup but also has good FPS to be able to dogfight and not be lagging due to low FPS. Here are some screens of a DR1 sitting on the field so its easy to look at the edges and see there are pretty much zero AA problems or aritfacts showing anywhere on the edges at any angle. I kept these at full resolution so you can see them in the same size I see them in game. S! FC
