Master server not available, no one can log in and multiple people have reported it already... Gunner fix?? Probably something to do with flying with a mouse...  |

By fixed I was referring that you could log in, none of the bugs appear fixed.
Kind of mis leading when I read it again.
Also kind of discovered on bombers switching places pilot to gunner and gunner to pilot works fine.
If you are in gunner position and go to bomb site you lock up and cant get out of gunner position.
Pilot to bomb site and back no issues.
Just dont go from gunner to bomb site.
I think LL saw the same thing as I did.

I did... Sherlock Jake found the answer. You can do ANYTHING you want....*EXCEPT* hit the V key from a gunner position, and you can do that too... only it will be the last thing you do before you quit the game. Your stick still works...so go stick your head in the box and try and fly.

Well, defining the problem accurately, is 99% of fixing it. The other 1% is communicating it with certainty, to the powers that be, if you can't fix it yourself. Often the biggest problem is that there will always be a huge group of people who will describe the problem in a misleading way. Believe me, that is human nature....I deal with that daily. Experience comes into play when, you can hear everybody's complaint, and decipher the TRUE problem. Unfortunately complete success at that is, all too rare.

I did some more gunner/bomb-sight testing and posted the results in the same thread on RoF.
All consistent with what Jake reported.

Maybe it had something to do with repairing the mega-warping issues. That's not a game issue. That was Stubby and Butzell running their mission on an outdated config.ini file. They had bandwidth limits set too low for the number of players, hence the warping. |

They did announce that they are now doing weekly server maintenance, during which the servers will be down for a short period. Is it possible that this is what you were experiencing? |

777 has announced a scheduled server maintenance shutdown for Tuesday April 7th. riseofflight.com/forum/topic/45633-service-maintenance-april-7th/Maybe they'll fix the rear-gunner bug! And make the on-screen gauges movable... And give us a proper aero compass... And improve the flight models... Hmmm... Well, probably not that last one. I'd settle for the just gunner bug fix! |
